German is the mother tongue of most people in Western Europe. It is not only the official language in Germany and Austria, but also in Switzerland, Liechtenstein and parts of Northern Italy.
Many people in Eastern Europe are learning or still speaking German.
Canada and Germany have excellent trade relations and many German companies invested in Canada and vise versa.

Everybody should agree that it common sense to approach foreigners in their language if you want to do business with them by selling products or services. Have you ever seen German advertising of Volkswagen, BMW, Nestle or other well know companies in Canadian newspapers or on TV? Certainly not because that would be ignorant and stupid. If you hope that you can approach Germans in English - please think about that again - it will not work well!

For decades English has been taught in schools as a the number one foreign language but most people never practiced it and forgot it.

The paid vacations in Europe exceed those in North America and people love to travel

Canada and especially Ontario are still very unknown to most Europeans
Our German language travel guides should help to fill this gap. We do not believe that the concept of many Canadian web sites will attract visitors, just by listing accommodations and restaurants. Everybody can sleep and eat at home for less money and there is no need to go away just to do that.

We have created an essential pre-requisite to attract visitors with our Internet tourist guides for Ontario and Newfoundland - Labrador by showing the country and its natural wonders. We are adding continuously things which are of interest for tourists or help them to make the right choice.

We would love to add other provinces. Unfortunately, neither New Brunswick nor PEI showed any interest. They even did not respond to our proposal.

Another very important group which should use our services are business development corporations. They should not concentrate all their efforts to attract business and visitors only from the United States. Instead of finding excuses for the declining tourism business and the many US companies who are moving back, hey should look over the fence to Europe. Just check how much new business sprung up in your area from Europe and from which countries it came. Please also check which businesses have left.

I came with a German company to Fort Erie and we shared our experience with other companies which did the same move a little bit later.

Because of our tourist guide, we received a few requests from business people who wanted to know more about establishing a business here. I never could follow up because how much can I do for free, with no support and obviously no interest of the responsible people?
