Why advertise in German with us?

German is spoken in a substantial part of Western Europe. It is not only the official language in Germany and Austria, but also in parts of Switzerland, Liechtenstein, Northern Italy and parts of several other countries.
Many people in Eastern Europe are learning or are still speaking German.
Canada and Germany have excellent trade relations and many German companies have invested in Canada and vice versa. However, these relations can still be improved.

It is good business practice, in the tourism industry or export business, to approach foreigners in their mother tongue. If you hope to successfully approach Germans in English - please think again - it will not work well!

For decades English has been taught in German schools as the number one foreign language, but most people do not have enough practice to use it fluently.
In the former GDR Russian had to be learned.

The paid vacations in Europe exceed those in North America and people love to travel despite the world-wide recession.

Canada and especially Ontario and Newfoundland-Labrador are still very unknown to most Europeans. Best known are British Columbia and Alberta.
Our German language travel guides should help to fill this gap. We do not believe that the concept and content of many Canadian web sites, namely just listing accommodations and restaurants, will attract visitors. We try to attract people to Ontario and Newfoundland-Labrador with our German travel guides by providing appealing pictures, maps, interesting videos and valuable information not generally found in ordinary travel guides.
We have invested a lot of time and money to create these German language Internet tourist guides, mostly without any Canadian support (one notable exception: Newfoundland-Labrador with excellent advise and guidance).

We consider our German Internet tourist guides for Ontario and Newfoundland-Labrador as essential pre-requisites for successful advertising by Canadian tourism businesses to attract potential visitors to our country and its natural wonders. We are continuously adding places, events and attractions which are of interest to tourists.
Having lived and worked most of my life in Germany makes me better qualified to approach Europeans - certainly better than somebody who has never visited Europe. Germans are different from Americans and have other priorities when visiting Canada.

We would love to add other provinces to our collection of travel guides. Unfortunately, we are still trying very hard to get now financial support and commitment from other provinces and territories. Newfoundland helped us with good advice, pictures and an informative business dinner in St. John's. Thank you! Ontario did not even respond!
A number of our German pages of Ontario and Newfoundland-Labrador are now also available in English. We had to do this because of requests from numerous not German speaking visitors.
Our portfolios does not show all of our web sites. Most of them are linked to our tourist guides.
We love to work with small business. People in Europe are also watching their money and are thankful for honest advise where to stay, where to eat and what to do. We gladly help you to meet the expectations of German speaking visitors with your web site. Who else offers that? Young graduates?
It was a surprise for us how many requests we have received from all over the world and even from Canada to create the English variants of our German travel guides for Ontario and Newfoundland-Labrador. We have already started with that project and are adding now videos and slides hows.
Now we get almost every days phone calls from people who want either to book something or are asking for other details which we did not include in our web site because as a small company we cannot keep everything up to date for free.
We also cannot effort to pay our friend from RBBSMART for proofreading.

Another very important group which might want to consider using our services are business development corporations. They seem to concentrate most of their efforts on the United States to attract business and visitors.
Instead of finding excuses for the declining tourism business and the many US companies that are moving back, they should look across to Europe. Just check how much new business has sprung up in your area from Europe and from which countries exactly it came. Please also check which businesses have left.

I came with a German company to Fort Erie and we shared our experience with other companies which made the same move a little bit later.

Because of our tourist guides, we have received a few requests from business people who wanted to know more about establishing a business here. I could never follow up because how much can I do for free, with no support and obviously no interest from the responsible parties? Instead of answering simple questions they prefer to travel around the world to praise Canada for investors.
Check the posted links and my web sites with free advise which I had provided a long time ago for job creation and business improvement. Maybe there are some people who can use their own brain and are able to comment on my suggestions.
However, my expectations are very low when our administrators have to employ high paid consultants for almost every critical decision, like the conditions of sidewalks, raising fees for public transportation or even how to use a historical fire hall.

Advertise in our Internet travel guides. Excellent also for air lines, travel agencies, car rentals and much more!
